WIC

WIC is a supplemental food and nutrition education program for pregnant and nursing Women, Infants, and Children to age 5.  The program is designed for lower income families of Logan County who are at nutritional risk.

FAMILY PLANNING

Family Planning is available to all Logan County residents.  Fees are charged on a sliding scale, according to income.

HOME HEALTH AGENCY

 Provides nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to clients in their home as prescribed by the doctor.  Any person in the following counties is eligible for service: Christian, Dewitt, Logan, McLean, Macon, Mason, Menard, Piatt, Sangamon, and Tazewell.

 SERVICES INCLUDE but are not limited to:

b      Dressing changes

b      Laboratory tests

b      Diabetes control and teaching

b      Health teaching and supervision

b      Bathing and personal care

b      Treatments as ordered by physician

b      Catheter changes

b      Caregiver Training and Education

b      Respite care

Costs are paid by Medicare, private insurance, Medicaid or private pay based on a sliding fee scale.  Every effort will be made to provide home health care services within your financial means.

  PROJECT LIFE

Provides nursing care to clients in their home who meet eligibility criteria.  This program is funded through a grant received from the Area Agency on Aging.  Skilled nursing services and nurse aide services are available.

  HOUSE CALLS

Certified Nurse Aides are available to assist clients in their home with bathing, hair care, nail care and other personal care as needed.  A nominal fee is charged.

 

ILLINOIS BREAST & CERVICAL CANCER PROGRAM

Program provides pap tests and mammograms for financially eligible women in Cass, Dewitt, Logan, Macon, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Piatt Sangamon and Shelby counties.

b      Inspections of temporary and permanent food

       service establishments.

 WATER PROGRAM

b      Conducts private well water sampling and

       evaluation

b      Provides consultation for new well construction

b      Provides information and advice on disinfection

of wells                                               

b      Performs inspections and obtains water samples of non-community public water supplies

b      Inspects all new water wells

b      Provides information on sealing abandoned

      wells and performs inspections of well sealings

 SEWAGE PROGRAM

b      Inspects new and repaired private sewage  

       system installations and any complaints of

       failing septic systems

b      Provides consultation and educational

       materials for construction and maintenance of   

       sewage systems

 PUBLIC HEALTH NUISANCE

COMPLAINT SERVICE

b      Inspects and advises eradication procedures  

       for insects and rodent problems in county

b      Inspects and advises clean-up procedure for

       garbage and refuse programs in county

b      Inspects and advises clean-up of demolition

       procedures for housing problems in county

 TANNING FACILITY PROGRAM

b      Inspections, consultations, and training of

       tanning facilities
