Position:       Health Educator

The Logan County Department of Public Health is accepting applications for a Health Educator.  A baccalaureate degree in health education, community health or a related field is required.  CHES certification preferred.

The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills; self-direction with the ability to work with little supervision; have good organizational skills; flexibility and cooperation in fulfilling role obligation.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office products preferred.

Duties include program planning, presentations, material development, grant application and grant program coordination.  The health educator carries out general education activities in the area of preventive health in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and grant funded programs.

Position:       Director of Support Services

 The Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) is accepting applications for the position of Director of Support Services

 ·         This position requires a High School graduate with a minimum of three (3) years office management and supervisory experience

·         Excellent communications skills, both oral and written are required

·         PC, Windows and MS Office software knowledge desirable

·         Knowledge of human resource transactions desirable

This position serves as administrative support to the Administrator and as a business manager of a small office staff and the maintenance of building and grounds.

Position:       Janitor/Maintenance

The Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) is accepting applications for a Janitor/Maintenance position.  Licensure in one of the trades (carpentry, plumbing, or electrical) preferred.

This position requires a person at least 18 years old, possessing good physical stamina and mental health, a health clearance including a negative TB skin test and/or CXR, and other tests as required by organization policy.  The person must be a licensed driver with an automobile insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

The successful candidate will have a satisfactory work history, excellent observation and communication skills, be self directed with the ability to work with little supervision, and flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
